Trou aux Cerfs (also known as Murr’s Volcano) is a dormant volcano with a well-defined cone and crater. It is 605 m (1,985 ft) high and is located in Curepipe. The crater has been alternately described as 300 and 350 meters in diameter and is 80 meters deep. The crater was formed less than 2 million years ago in the second phase of volcanic activity that created Mauritius.

The diamond cutting factory was originally opened in 1970 in Mauritius. The shop deals in all aspect of the jewelry and precious stone trade. Adamas is the largest selection of loose diamonds in the Indian Ocean.

Grand Bassin also known as the Sacred Lake is known to the most sacred Hindu place in Mauritius. The lake also known as Ganga Talao welcomes pilgrims and tourists from around the world for its dedication to Hindu Culture. Mangal Mahadev is 108 Ft statue of the Hindu God, Shiva, standing with his trident and it is the tallest statue in Mauritius. At Ganga Talao, the Hindu Goddess Durga is 108 Ft which is the tallest Durga Statue in Mauritius.

The Chamarel Waterfall, at around 100 meters high, is Mauritius’ tallest single-drop waterfall. It stands out among forested area. It has a powerful rush, with a peak flow rate of around 40,000 m3 per minute, and is fed by three different streams that run into the Saint Denis River.

Don’t miss the waterfall’s viewpoint on your left as you drive down the Seven Colored Earth Geopark’s 3km entry road, which provides a lovely approach. It may be reached through a trail winding through dense foliage, providing a front-row perspective of this natural treasure.

The Chamarel Waterfall, which flows from the ledge of a basalt cliff into an oval pool before flowing down a 6km tropical-forest-fringed canyon to Baie du Cap, splashes into an oval pool. The sight is not only soothing, but it also serves as a brilliant piece of millions of years of volcanic activity. Lavas of two different ages have shaped the spectacular terrain. A layer of brecciated basalt towards the base dates from between 10 and 8 million years ago, with a second layer dating from between 3.5 and 1.7 million years ago on top.
