Citadel fort also known as Fort Adelaide was constructed between 1834 to 1840 to protect the British army from the enemy during the abolition of slavery. The Fort has been converted into a National Monument and it is among one of the tourist destinations in Port Louis due to its breathtaking views and colorful history.

Central Market is found next to the Immigration square of Port Louis. It is the place where there are stalls of fresh fruits and vegetables leaving evaporating exhilarating and spicy perfumes. Inside the central market, there is craft market which is a maze of tourist souvenirs.

China Town, this bustling neighborhood is known for its small shops, family traders and oriental restaurants which found in the city of Port Louis.

Caudan waterfront is a shopping mall located in Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius and it was opened in 1996. It is known as a Business Centre and has expertise in commercial activities and entertainment. The commercial Centre has shops, banks, casinos, movie theaters, restaurants, a marina, a five-star hotel, and an aquarium which is the largest oceanarium in the Mascarene Archipelago and the first of its kind in Mauritius.

The Botanical garden was established in 1770 and was constructed by Pierre Poivre. It is the oldest botanical garden in the southern hemisphere where a pond of giant water lilies can be found. It covers an area of around 37 hectares. The garden, for a long time, was ranked third among all the gardens that could be admired over the surface of the globe.
